Employment of computer and information technology occupations is projected to grow 13 percent from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations. Besides scholarships and student loans, there are other types of financial aid to help with funding computer and technology degrees. Those with significant financial need may be eligible for need-based grants like the Pell Grant, for instance. Work-study programs may also be available from individual colleges and universities, offering students a way to earn tuition through labor. Finally, full-time employees of some corporations may be eligible for tuition reimbursement programs, which allow them to earn their computer and information technology degrees on their employer’s dime.
However, schools and educational curriculum should not replace teachers with computers, because a computer is just a tool which can be of no function without a teachers guide. This means that we shall still need and will always need to have teachers in the classrooms, but use computers to help them do their job easily and also attract students to get involved in academic activities. The exact effectiveness of computers is not yet clear, but it can not be denied that they have simplified the way we learn.
