Information technology (IT) is the use of computers to store, retrieve, transmit, and manipulate data, or information, often in the context of a business or other enterprise. Computer Technology at WSU is an interdisciplinary program. Students have the opportunity to take engineering technology and computer science courses. This exposes students to more faculty members, more cutting edge technology, and more ideas. While students cross-train they also have the opportunity to work with students from both departments, so they graduate with an extended “personal network” as well.
