American Journal of Computer Science and Information Technology (AJCSIT) is an intercontinental free access, peer reviewed journal. Associates degrees in computer and information technology provide students with a very basic, foundational education in computers and technology. Such degrees can prepare graduates for a few select entry-level positions in the field, including web developers, hardware and software trainers, and computer repair technicians, for example. They can also provide the groundwork for further study in pursuit of computer information technology bachelor degrees. Typically, associates degrees in computer and information technology take around a year and a half to complete, but they can be completed either more quickly or at a slower pace depending upon the specific program and the individual students’ schedules and preferences. Associates-level computer and information technology degrees are usually flexible, allowing students to earn their credentials on a part-time or full-time basis. Evening and online classes are sometimes offered as well.
Innovation is the rule in computer engineering technology, and it’s the hallmark of the computer engineering diploma program at Sheridan. This course aims to prepare you for a career as a games programmer, and you will design and program computer games from the outset. Typical areas of study include game logic and architecture and the use of 3DÂ programming language (such as Open GL) to produce game objects and environments.
Note:Applicants should have basic computer skills such as keyboard proficiency, Internet browsing and searching, and proficiency with an office software suite (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.) prior to the start of the program. The Mobile Learning Center Coach (C102) offers training in these skills if needed. While programming experience is not a requirement to enter the program, aptitude for programming is necessary and would include strong language, problem solving and logic skills. This is often demonstrated by skill and enjoyment in solving word problems in math.
