The Computer Technology (CT) program has been developed to provide training in the principles underlying the design of modern computer systems. The activity of creating computer connections is referred to as computer technology. The field is a holistic nature of designing, building and developing software and hardware systems. A bachelors degree in computer technology will help to in the application of programming and networking solutions so as to understand hardware architectures and other communication systems. The new technology approach in the modern economy has become the driving controller. Graduates from this degree program can now learn the skills that are necessary so as to become qualified computer technologists in major telecommunication firms, business management, and computer design corporations world over. The Bachelor of Computer Technology is a degree program whose curriculum is designed to equip students with the right skills and theoretical understanding on all technology issues.
While many early digital computers were based on similar designs, such as the IAS and its copies, others are unique designs, like the CSIRAC. Built in Sydney, Australia by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research for use in its Radio physics Laboratory in Sydney, CSIRAC was designed by British-born Trevor Pearcey, and used unusual 12-hole paper tape. It was transferred to the Department of Physics at the University of Melbourne in 1955 and remained in service until 1964.
The production of standards compliant HTML5 video. Students will create dynamic web pages with AMP systems and script on the server side using PHP with MySQL. The key theme for scripting will be the understanding and development of readable code that listens for and responds to browser and user events by manipulating DOM elements. This degree provides you with specialist games programming and design skills as well as traditional computer science skills. You will study games software at a variety of levels, from low-level programming of game engine components, to high-level development tools such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
Note: Applicants should have basic computer skills such as keyboard proficiency, Internet browsing and searching, and proficiency with an office software suite (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.) prior to the start of the program. The Mobile Learning Center Coach (C102) offers training in these skills if needed. While programming experience is not a requirement to enter the program, aptitude for programming is necessary and would include strong language, problem solving and logic skills. This is often demonstrated by skill and enjoyment in solving word problems in math.
IBM’s brand recognition, along with a massive marketing campaign, ignites the fast growth of the personal computer market with the announcement of its own personal computer (PC). The first IBM PC, formally known as the IBM Model 5150, was based on a 4.77 MHz Intel 8088 microprocessor and used Microsoft´s MS-DOS operating system. The IBM PC revolutionized business computing by becoming the first PC to gain widespread adoption by industry. The IBM PC was widely copied (cloned”) and led to the creation of a vast ecosystem” of software, peripherals, and other commodities for use with the platform.
