A complete history of computing would include a multitude of diverse devices such as the ancient Chinese abacus, the Jacquard loom (1805) and Charles Babbage’s “analytical engine” (1834). Because of how important computers are to life and industry, a BSCT degree is very marketable and would have many possible applications. Ethernet is the most common way of connecting computers on a network with a wired connection. It is a type of local area network (LAN) technology, providing a simple interface for connecting multiple devices. The Video Display Module (VDM) marks the first implementation of a memory-mapped alphanumeric video display for personal computers. Introduced at the Altair Convention in Albuquerque in March 1976, the visual display module enabled the use of personal computers for interactive games.

A server is a computer that handles requests for data, email, file transfers, and other network services from other computers.
Students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts in evolutionary algorithms and agent-based simulation, and develop their proficiency in the development, application and analysis of these methodologies. The unit includes evolution and natural selection, fitness landscapes and search, optimisation and approximation, encodings and fitness functions, evolutionary search and optimisation, and applications. Software agent concepts, intelligent agent design and implementation of multi-agent systems.
IEEE-CS technical contributors include Erik DeBenedictis, Sandia National Laboratories; Fred Douglis, systems researcher and member of IEEE-CS Board of Governors; David Ebert, professor, Purdue University; Paolo Faraboschi, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Fellow; Eitan Frachtenberg, data scientist; Phil Laplante, professor, Penn State University; and Dejan Milojicic, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Distinguished Technologist and IEEE Computer Society past president. The technical contributors for this document are available for interview.
Each program’s curriculum will offer a more in-depth look into the focus area, as compared to an Associate’s degree, and will also include courses outside of the student’s specific discipline. Salaries for Computer Systems Analysts range from $53,110 to $137,690. Programs provide training in two main areas: computer networking and web development. Both degree tracks directly transfer into a bachelor’s completion option in Computer Systems Analysis.
