With advances in technology, demand for computer engineering specialists is high. The BCIT student outcomes reports present summary findings from the annual survey of former students administered by BC Stats one to two years after graduation. These reports combine the last three years of available results for the 2015-2017 BCIT Outcomes Surveys of 2014-2016 graduates and for Degree 2013-2015 graduates. The reports are organized into three-page summaries containing information on graduates’ labour market experiences and opinions regarding their education. The King Engineering and Technology Center is home to the Computer, Electrical, and Software Engineering programs at the Prescott Campus. It recently underwent a $500,000 renovation, and features labs in Linear and Digital Circuits, Electronic Devices, Communications Systems, Controls Systems, and a Senior DesignÂ Lab. Four-year Bachelor’s degrees are most common for technology professionals. Look for a Bachelor’s curriculum teaching algorithms, data structures, data retrieval, programming, logic, and computer architecture.
The Modular One was comparatively expensive. It was somewhat exotic in that its modular design resulted in almost every system delivered being somewhat different, which created a high maintenance burden. It never sold widely outside of the UK, and even in the UK it was surpassed in sales by DEC and Data General before the end of the 1970s. 2 Over the mid ’70s to mid ’80s the systems were cost reduced with TTL bitslice technology and 8-bit microprocessor communications controllers, retreating from the radical modular design, but it never gained a significant market share.
Students with a robotics degree are prepared for mechanical design, controls, electronics, digital logic design, embedded systems programming, machine vision, and adaptive algorithm development and design of autonomous robotic systems. The more math students have before entering this mechanical engineering degree program, the greater their opportunities to explore this discipline in depth.
