Information technology (IT) is the use of computers to store, retrieve, transmit, and manipulate data, or information, often in the context of a business or other enterprise. We provide hands-on experience and a problem-solving approach to computer engineering technology, teaching students to find creative, outside-the-box solutions to real-world computer engineering problems. Accreditation renewal of the degree programme is in progress, subject to re-approval by the British Computing Society (BCS), the chartered professional body for IT. A BCS accredited degree allows graduates on completion to gain Chartered IT Professional status and become a graduate member of the BCS.
After finishing a Master in Computer Technology, graduates have many career options available to them in the technology industry designing and testing new computer information systems.
